The day started with a little rain, which is always a concern at a wedding. The rain lasted for an hour, and then disappeared and left us with a bright but cloud covered day, which is perfect for photography and video.
Jill was a little late to the ceremony, but not too late that Steve began to panic. The ceremony was a really touching one, and the guests were all in good spirits, as many laughs were also given during this lovely wedding ceremony. The bride and groom were given a fantastic cheer, as they were announced back up the isle at the end of the ceremony. It is always great when this happens, because it gives an energy to the entire day.
The photographs were fairly short, because the speeches were quite prompt after the ceremony. The speeches were great fun, as a lot of laughter was heard through out, but there were also plenty of tears, as the emotion of this wedding ran high. We did not have much time for the photographs, but Mark Byron Dowie was still able to create some fantastic shots for both himself and for the video. Mark was a pleasure to work with, and had actually travelled all the way from Newcastle to shoot this wedding.
The first dance began immediately after the cutting of the cake, and it was clear to all how much the bride and groom enjoyed it, as they gazed into each others eyes and moved as one across the dance floor area.
Besides the rain at the very beginning of the day, everything went great at this wedding and the bride and groom clearly enjoyed their special day. I am pleased for them that it went well and I am glad they got the day they deserved. Best of luck to them.
